Dr. Steele grew up in Dryden – considered to be the start of the far North. In public school and in high school, she would tell people that her life-long dream was to become a Vet. She went onto a degree
in Biomedical Science at the University of Guelph. Before completing her Biomedical Science degree, she was accepted into the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program at the Ontario Veterinary College.
Upon completion of her degree in 2005 she started working as a veterinarian at the Elgin Animal Hospital.
In her spare time Dr. Steele enjoys spending time outdoors. Her hobbies include running, gardening, and baking.
Dr. Steele and her husband David have a 2 year old son and are expecting a new baby in March of 2012. Her family is kept busy by her mischievous golden retriever “Maddie,” and her well behaved pets
“Carlie” (a Goldie Doodle) and “Zoie” (a cat).
