Dr. Meaghan Campigotto grew up on a horse farm in the small town of Dutton Ontario. She had many pets growing up and always knew she wanted to have a career working with animals. When Meaghan was 16, she decided she wanted to be a veterinarian and shortly after that she started volunteering at Elgin Animal Hospital.
Meaghan graduated from St. Joseph’s Catholic High School in 2013 and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a major in Animal Science from the University of Guelph in 2017. In 2018, Meaghan was accepted into the Ontario Veterinary College where initially her interests were in large animal medicine. During her four years of vet school, Meaghan began to really enjoy small animal medicine and especially coming to work at the clinic in the summer months as a vet assistant.
Meaghan always knew she wanted to come back to her community to practice as a veterinarian and she joined our team here at Elgin Animal Hospital June 2022. She has interests in soft tissue surgery, ultrasonography, and preventative medicine. Outside of work, Meaghan enjoys walking her dog Diesel, playing baseball, campfires and spending time with family and friends.
